What Is Smile Design?
Smile design is a cosmetic treatment process involving the reshaping and building of teeth to enhance one’s appearance. Your smile design treatment may involve the use of porcelain veneers, bonding, teeth whitening, or other cosmetic treatments.
At your smile design consultation, several digital photos are taken. In each treatment room, our practice is equipped with overhead TV screens so our patients can look at their teeth and discuss what they do and don’t like about their current smile. Models of the patient’s teeth are created and sent to our lab.
Next, a diagnostic wax-up is created based on the patient’s desired envisioned smile. The temporary wax-up includes the ideal shape, length, size, and color of your new teeth or smile, customized for the individual patient.
